Second Advent Christianity™ is based upon a simple, compelling principle: the purpose of life is to have good and fulfilling relationships with Jesus Christ and with other people. In the world view of Second Advent Christianity, every human being on earth has the means available to him or her for salvation; God created all people to live forever in heaven and He guarantees every human life that possibility.

At the same time, our quality of life now and forever is limited by our knowledge. From the Second Advent Christian™ perspective, misunderstanding God’s nature, God’s purposes, or God’s commands always leads away from happiness, prosperity, and peace.

Salvation cannot be earned. God saves you because He loves you. Salvation is the product of developing a genuine love for other people and for God. We reject salvation if we choose not to love others like God loves us.

According to Second Advent Christianity™, true Christianity is simply the most accurate understanding of reality. It provides for the greatest happiness, peace, success, and fulfillment – both in this life and in life as it continues after death to eternity because Jesus Christ actually is the one God of heaven and earth, and life according to His commandments really does work better than the alternatives.

In the view of Second Advent Christianity™, God has a vision of a human race that is one in His name. To accomplish this, He fulfilled the Biblical prophecies of the Apocalypse and commissioned Emanuel Swedenborg to complete the final revelation of His Word. Following this calling in earnest, Emanuel Swedenborg published many books between 1745 and 1770. His books, written to fulfill and redefine God’s Word – under God’s specific direction – provide explanations of God’s life on earth, the proper understanding of the single person of the Divine Trinity, the nature of Heaven and Hell, how to interpret the text of the Bible and discover the eternal messages contained in the Old and New Covenants.

In short, God’s Word now contains everything that He promised to provide at His First Advent in the fullness of time. Accordingly, this Second Advent fulfilled the Biblical prophecies of the End Times. From the vantage point of Second Advent Christianity, the words which Jesus Christ revealed at His Second Coming provide the foundation for a re-unification of all people, of all faith traditions, in His Holy name.

In the world view of Second Advent Christianity™, this Second Coming provided a renewal of our ability to understand the eternal messages of God’s Scripture and the revival of our capacity to establish true and lasting relationships with God. If the human race honestly pursues a friendship with Jesus Christ through study of His Word, prayer, and walking His faith in life, then together we will be one church and one people – just as our God is one in Jesus Christ.
